Human Resources (HR) strategically manages people and the workplace culture and environment. The actions and guidance provided by the HR division enable employees to contribute effectively and productively to the overall Company direction and the accomplishment of the Company’s goals and objectives. The HR division includes the following departments:

  • Compensation and Benefits administers employee benefits plans and programs, oversees benefits enrollment processes and monitors government regulations to ensure that benefits programs are legal, current and competitive. They also manage the Company’s pay structure and monitor market conditions and government regulations to ensure that pay rates are competitive.

  • Diversity fosters an environment of inclusion among employees at the Company. Coordinating with the Diversity Council and Affinity Groups, the Diversity department sponsors diversity programs and events at the Company and in local communities, and provides education and training to Horizon BCBSNJ employees regarding various aspects of diversity and inclusion.

  • Human Resources Business Partners work closely with the Company’s divisional leaders to develop an HR agenda that closely supports the overall goals and objectives set by the Company.

  • Talent Acquisition strategically identifies, attracts and on-boards top talent to efficiently and effectively meet the changing needs of the business.

  • Talent Management, Learning and Development oversees the Company’s training and educational programs for employees. The Talent Management department manages training and orientation programs for new employees as well as ongoing staff training and education. The department also coordinates the performance management process for all employees.
